Private blockchains on the Aergo platform run on a Proof-of-Authority consensus mechanism powered-RAFT algorithm, while the public blockchain network, the Aergo mainnet, runs on a Byzantine Fault-Tolerant Delegated Proof-of-Stake mechanism.
