The Baltic Dry Bulk Shipping Index dropped 34 points from the previous trading day, a decrease of 1.4%, closing at 2,490 points, the lowest since April 15. The Capesize vessel rate index fell 102 points, down 2.8%, to 3,538 points. Average daily earnings for Capesize vessels decreased by $923 to $28,588. The Supramax bulk carrier rate index fell 2 points, or 0.1%, to 1,668 points, the lowest level since June 15. The Panamax vessel rate index rose 14 points, an increase of 0.7%, to 2,124 points. Average daily earnings for Panamax vessels increased by $127 to $19,117. The Handysize vessel rate index rose 2 points from the previous day, closing at 947 points.```
