Electric vehicle demand declines, General Motors' U.S. sales fall 4.2% in the second quarterThis Detroit automaker stated that it sold a total of 714,896 vehicles between April and June, lower than the 746,588 vehicles sold in the second quarter of 2025. In the first half of this year, its total sales reached 1.3 million vehicles, down 6.8% compared to the same period last year. The sales performance in the second quarter was slightly better than the forecast by Cox Automotive last week. Cox Automotive had previously projected that General Motors’ sales for the first half of the year would drop by 7.2%, with a 5.1% decrease in the second quarter.

Forward Industries, the SOL treasury company, increased its holdings by over 500,000 SOL in the quarterOdaily reported that the Nasdaq-listed company Forward Industries announced an increase of over 500,000 SOL in its holdings during the third fiscal quarter. The company’s total SOL holdings have now reached 7.55 million, valued at approximately $576 million. During this period, the company acquired these tokens at an average price of around $79 per SOL. Data shows that Forward Industries’ SOL holdings have surpassed the combined holdings of the other three largest publicly listed Solana treasury companies (Solana Company, DeFi Development Corp., and Upexi). Driven by this news, Forward Industries’ share price rose more than 17% today, and the Solana price also rebounded above $77. (The Block)
