Tesla reportedly plans to start production of the Model Y long wheelbase version in the US this year
A longer wheelbase, more spacious interior, and increased rear legroom have made many American consumers eagerly anticipate this model’s arrival in the domestic market. American consumers have long called for Tesla to introduce a larger SUV model. According to reports, Tesla is reportedly planning to launch the long-wheelbase version of the Model Y in the US market this year. Citing “reliable sources,” analyst Sam Fiorani from the automotive forecasting solutions company stated that the model will enter production later this year. Fiorani said: “The long-wheelbase version of the Model Y is expected to begin production in the US in September and could officially go on sale in the North American market by the end of 2026.” This model will be produced at the Texas Gigafactory. In addition, several camouflaged Model Y long-wheelbase vehicles have already been spotted within the US, further indicating Tesla’s plans to bring this model to the American market.
