MetaMask: The message mocking Jaredfromsubway.eth was not sent by the official team, and the related ENS name is held by a third party.
Foresight News reported that the crypto wallet app MetaMask tweeted regarding "MetaMask.eth publishing on-chain mocking remarks about Jaredfromsubway.eth being hacked," stating that these remarks were not issued by the official account. The message actually came from an unrelated MetaMask.eth (uppercase version) ENS account owned by a third party. The official MetaMask account uses the all-lowercase metamask.eth. Since ENS permits both uppercase and lowercase versions and most platforms display names in lowercase by default, this has caused outsiders to mistakenly believe the message came from the official account.
