Golden Ten Data reported on June 22 that, according to the latest research from TrendForce, a structural tightening in the mature-process DRAM supply is forcing Consumer DRAM buyers to use older generation products to obtain a larger DRAM supply quota. This has driven a recent wave of new procurement demand for older generation Consumer DRAM chips in the industry, leading to continued upward momentum in the contract prices of Consumer DRAM chips from generations including DDR2 and DDR3 through the first quarter of 2026. It is estimated that DDR2 contract prices will see an increase of approximately 55%–60% in the second quarter, and are expected to further rise by 35%–40% in the third quarter.

The attacker exploited a vulnerability in the cross-chain bridge's message proof verification mechanism to launch the attack. In the absence of any real transaction events on the source chain, the Ethereum Layer 1 mainnet still recognized the forged message credentials, allowing the attacker to initiate fraudulent withdrawals and steal assets from the cross-chain bridge and token vault. Based on current estimates, the total losses from the theft could be as high as $1.7 million before we shut down the relevant contracts.
