EthLabs releases "Week 2" update report, focusing on Ethereum interoperability, PropAMMs, and funding progressBlockBeats news, on July 6, EthLabs founder Barnabé Monnot (barnabé.eth) released the "Week 2" update, summarizing the team's latest progress in the launch and fundraising phases and the directions of ecosystem discussions. In terms of interoperability (Interop), the team stated they are increasing confidence in "asynchronous interoperability based on zero-knowledge proofs (zk)", believing this will help build more secure cross-chain bridges and enhance the native distribution capability of assets across Ethereum's multi-layer network. Currently, some cross-chain paths still face latency issues, particularly from L2 to L1; in this context, the intents mechanism can serve as a transitional solution, while ample L1 liquidity also helps match cross-chain executors (solvers). Meanwhile, the L1 to L2 path is expected to significantly reduce confirmation delays via the Fast Confirmation Rule (FCR), and some clients have already begun integrating this mechanism. Regarding ecosystem discussions, PropAMMs (proposal-based AMMs) have become a recent focus for various teams and researchers, as their core lies in the potential optimization between L1 execution efficiency and block building. At the same time, ENS is emphasized as "key Ethereum infrastructure," and the team continues to communicate with stakeholders to advance its development direction. For team building, EthLabs has now received more than 300 applications and has processed about 20%. The short-term goal is to expand to about 10 people, and to about 20 people in the medium term, focusing on hiring talent with engineering abilities and domain expertise. On fundraising, EthLabs said the current round is nearing completion, having already gained early support from BitMNR, Sharplink, and Ethereum Joseph, and plans to introduce 1–2 more core investors before entering the next stage.
