Honeywell International CEO: Iran conflict and artificial intelligence are driving demand growth

Glonghui, May 14th — Honeywell International CEO Vimal Kapur stated that, due to the Iran conflict and the rapid development of artificial intelligence, market demand for several of the company’s businesses is continuing to rise. Although external factors have not directly influenced the company’s decision to spin off its automation and aerospace businesses in 2025, both major divisions are now expecting demand to increase significantly over the next few years. Kapur added that artificial intelligence is becoming increasingly important to the automation business. “When I entered the automation business, AI was not such an important topic for automation companies,” he said. “But as the business has developed, our automation business has generated a large amount of data, and this data can be used to enhance our customers’ production efficiency.”
