Casa's Chief Security Officer Jameson Lopp released annual data showing that Bitcoin Core mailing list traffic increased by 60% year-on-year, with a total of 135 independent code contributors participating in the development. The code saw a change volume of approximately 285,000 lines, reversing the continuous decline seen since 2018 when the number of contributors peaked at around 193.
