Delphi Digital: Solana upgrade Alpenglow is scheduled to launch in 2026

Delphi Digital stated on the X platform that Solana is preparing for a major upgrade called Alpenglow, which is planned to be gradually launched from early to mid-2026. This upgrade will restructure the consensus mechanism and introduce two new components: Votor and Rotor. Votor adopts a lightweight vote aggregation model, theoretically reducing finality latency to 100 to 150 milliseconds, about 100 times shorter than the original 12.8 seconds; Rotor optimizes the block propagation layer, with the fastest propagation time being 18 milliseconds.
