Venezuela's oil exports reportedly come to a standstill
Show original
According to Golden Ten Data on January 4, sources revealed that due to political turmoil, oil tankers are avoiding departures, causing Venezuela's oil exports to come to a standstill. Monitoring data shows that some ships recently loaded with crude oil and fuel, destined for the United States and Asia, have not yet set sail, while others waiting to be loaded have left port empty. The website TankerTrackers.com reported that no tankers loaded cargo at Venezuela's main oil port, Jose Port, on Saturday. According to sources and documents from Venezuela's state oil company PDVSA, oil exports have been completely suspended, including the suspension of tankers chartered by its main partner Chevron. This may accelerate the country's need to cut oil field production, as in recent weeks, storage tanks and even vessels used for floating storage have rapidly filled up.
