Finance Minister Pichai Chunhavajira stated at a press conference on August 18 that the government aims to promote innovation and support the use of digital assets through the "Tourism Digital Payment" initiative, which is scheduled to launch a pilot phase within a regulatory sandbox for 18 months starting in the fourth quarter.
