Ethereum Co-Founder: ETH is Not a Competitor to BTC, But Its Market Cap Will Eventually Surpass Bitcoin
Ethereum co-founder Anthony Di Iorio stated at the 2025 Consensus Conference that Ethereum aims to be an alternative to Bitcoin, not a competitor. Di Iorio is one of the eight co-founders of the Ethereum blockchain, but he initially entered the cryptocurrency field by advocating for Bitcoin and believes that Ethereum could eventually surpass Bitcoin in terms of market capitalization.
