Foreign Media: OpenAI is expected to lose 5 billion dollars this year
OpenAI is expected to incur massive losses this year, but with the company increasing the fees for ChatGPT, its revenue will continue to explode over the next five years. According to a document, the company expects its revenue in 2024 to reach $3.7 billion, with ChatGPT projected to generate $2.7 billion in revenue this year, of which $1 billion will come from other businesses. However, The New York Times reported that OpenAI is expected to lose $5 billion this year, excluding equity-based compensation. OpenAI's biggest cost is the computing power expenditure it obtains from its partner and largest investor Microsoft; OpenAI's products are hosted by Microsoft's cloud services.
