The release of the "Trump-branded phone" has been postponed due to delivery delays caused by the U.S. government shutdown.
BlockBeats News, December 31, according to the Financial Times, the Trump Group's mobile phone company Trump Mobile has postponed its plan to ship gold-colored smartphones originally scheduled for the end of this year. The company initially promised to launch a US-made smartphone this year, priced at $499, to compete with mainstream devices such as Apple and Samsung, but has since lowered its targets.
Trump Mobile's customer service team stated that the previous US government shutdown caused delays in phone deliveries. The team added that it is "very likely" the device will not be shipped this month. The "T1" device announced in June this year, along with a monthly $47.45 phone plan, is one of several initiatives launched by the Trump family business to capitalize on his bid to return to the White House.
