This rate cut marks the third one this year, and there is internal disagreement among policymakers. Ian Lyngen, Head of U.S. Rate Strategy at BMO Capital Markets Fixed Income Strategy Team, stated that the Fed is expected to maintain a flexible approach ahead of the policy meeting on January 29.
