DeBot announces full compensation for the $250,000 loss caused by data leakage at its Japanese data center
According to Odaily, the DeBot team released a security incident statement on the X platform, stating that due to a data center expansion and migration operation conducted on December 9, 2025, some user wallet information in the Japan data center was leaked. On December 27, 2025, hackers exploited this leaked data to crack and transfer assets, resulting in a total loss of $250,000.
According to DeBot monitoring, this incident only affected wallets generated or imported before December 10, 2025; addresses generated after that date are not affected. The DeBot team has committed to 100% compensation for all affected users and has launched an official compensation registration page. After users submit their applications, the official team will complete the review within 72 hours and directly distribute the compensation to the user's secure wallet address. The team also reminds users to promptly transfer assets from at-risk wallets that have not yet been stolen. If new losses occur from continued use of affected wallets, the platform will no longer be responsible.
