Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin stated that new AI labs should have clear charters and focus on developing human augmentation tools, rather than projects with more than one minute of autonomous time. He believes that although ASI companies pursuing maximum autonomy are constantly emerging, the field of human augmentation remains underdeveloped, and he calls for open source code as much as possible.
