Cryptocurrency supporter Waller to be interviewed by Trump for Federal Reserve Chair position
According to TechFlow, on December 17, Eleanor Terrett reported that Christopher Waller, the crypto-friendly Federal Reserve Governor, will be interviewed by Trump tomorrow as a candidate for the position of Federal Reserve Chairman. Trump has previously met with two rumored frontrunners—Kevin Warsh and Kevin Hassett—both of whom Trump believes would push for radical reforms at the Federal Reserve.
Waller is considered one of the key architects behind the Federal Reserve's plan to establish master accounts for crypto-native companies. In an interview this October, when asked if he would be willing to serve as Federal Reserve Chairman, Waller responded, "If the President thinks I am the best candidate, I would accept."
