Beyond Trading: A Look at Star New Projects and Major Updates in the Solana Ecosystem

The Solana Breakpoint 2025 conference was truly spectacular. In addition to the highly anticipated validator client Firedancer officially launching on the mainnet (expected to potentially boost TPS to the millions) and the full integration of Coinbase DEX, there were numerous updates across all areas of the Solana ecosystem.

While ETH remains committed to the ideals of decentralization, Solana feels like a bustling construction site, with every aspect running at full throttle, focusing on efficiency, building, building, and more building. So, let's take a look at the updates across various tracks at the Solana Breakpoint 2025 conference.

DeFi

Splyce Finance

Splyce Finance announced the launch of $SFULC on Solana, an interest-bearing stablecoin with a 10% annual yield, issued by Fulcrum Lending and backed by real cash flows from senior collateralized multi-family residential loans. Users can mint $SFULC with stablecoins or acquire it through trading on Raydium.

Streamflow

Streamflow announced the launch of $USD+ on Solana, another interest-bearing stablecoin with an annual yield of up to 3.6%, fully backed by U.S. Treasury bonds.

RockawayX

RockawayX announced the launch of three RWA yield vaults on Solana, which will operate on Kamino, Exponent Finance, and Midas, respectively. These vaults are managed by professional third-party risk management experts who set risk parameters, monitor, and dynamically adjust the vaults' investments in RWA-related opportunities, providing yields to users who deposit funds into the vaults.

WisdomTree

Asset management company WisdomTree, with $140 billions in assets under management, plans to launch yield vaults on Solana.

SWEEP

State Street, the world’s fourth-largest asset management company with over $5 trillions in assets under management, plans to launch the tokenized liquidity fund SWEEP on Solana in early 2026 in collaboration with Galaxy Digital. The fund will use $PYUSD for on-chain subscriptions and redemptions, and will receive $200 millions in seed funding from Ondo Finance.

Carrot

Carrot announced the launch of Turbo Tokens, leveraged tokens with no liquidation risk, allowing users to trade leveraged versions of corresponding assets just like spot trading. Leverage will be dynamically adjusted, and users will not be liquidated.

Huma Finance

Huma Finance, in collaboration with Obligate and TradeFlow, provides Solana-based stablecoin liquidity for global rare earth mineral trading.

Light Protocol

Light Protocol introduced Light Token, a new token standard on Solana that is 200 times cheaper than the existing SPL standard and fully compatible with DeFi.

deBridge

Cross-chain interoperability protocol deBridge launched a new execution model called "Bundle," which allows users to sign intents describing desired outcomes, and the protocol will execute the intent without direct blockchain interaction. In simple terms, complex cross-chain operations can now be handled with a single click.

RWA

Oro

Oro is a digital gold yield platform on Solana. They announced the launch of $StGOLD, a brand-new gold yield token. At the same time, they will deploy outlets in five locations worldwide where users can exchange for physical gold.

Uranium Digital

At Solana Breakpoint, Uranium Digital demonstrated their product, which for the first time allows institutions to purchase physical uranium on-chain, with settlement entirely on Solana.

Privacy

Arcium

Arcium will launch a new privacy token standard, C-SPL, which can encrypt the balances and transfer amounts of any Solana token. They are also introducing a zero-trust dishonest majority privacy protocol called Cerberus Protocol.

AI

Solflare

Solflare launched Magic AI, a decentralized, intent-driven assistant that understands natural language commands and executes on-chain operations. You only need to describe your needs in plain language, such as "When SOL/USD falls below $150, swap all my USDC for SOL." Magic AI will convert this into precise and secure on-chain actions.

Glider

A new AI-driven investment app on Solana, Glider plans to use AI to help users adjust their crypto investments according to their needs, automatically executing investment strategies with no gas fees. The project raised $4 millions in funding led by a16z, with participation from Coinbase Ventures, Uniswap Ventures, and GSR.

The latest Colosseum hackathon grand champion. This is a hardware wallet built natively for Solana.

Solflare

Solflare announced that its new wallet, "Solflare Shield," has started shipping. This hardware wallet looks like a bank card and uses NFC for signing transactions.

Phantom

Phantom has partnered with Kalshi to integrate prediction markets into its wallet. Phantom wallet users will be able to use any SOL token to trade on Kalshi directly within the wallet.
