Ripple stablecoin RLUSD expands to L2 networks, adopts Wormhole's NTT standard
ChainCatcher news, according to the official blog, Ripple announced the first expansion of its stablecoin RLUSD to Layer 2 networks. Ripple will collaborate with the cross-chain interoperability protocol Wormhole and the NTT token standard to launch testing on Optimism, Base, Ink, and Unichain.
Ripple expects to launch RLUSD on more chains after obtaining final regulatory approval next year. The subsequent launch of RLUSD on other chains will require testing and approval by the New York Department of Financial Services. It is reported that RLUSD was initially issued only on XRPL and Ethereum.
