UN Report: Differences in AI Governance May Exacerbate Inequality Between Countries
ChainCatcher news, according to a report by Securities Times, the United Nations Development Programme Asia and the Pacific Regional Bureau released a report on artificial intelligence on the 2nd, stating that due to the vastly different development foundations among countries, a lack of effective management of artificial intelligence could widen the gap between nations and further exacerbate inequality among countries.
The report states that although artificial intelligence opens up new paths for development, the vastly different starting conditions of countries result in completely different situations when it comes to seizing opportunities and managing risks. Without strong policy intervention, these gaps may continue to widen, thereby reversing the long-term trend of gradually narrowing development disparities.
