BIS appoints digital currency expert as head of Innovation Hub
ChainCatcher news, according to Cointelegraph, the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) has announced the appointment of Tommaso Mancini-Griffoli, Assistant Director of the IMF's Monetary and Capital Markets Department, as the new head of its Innovation Hub, effective March 2026. He will advance projects such as CBDC and tokenized assets, and advocates for a "synthetic CBDC" model based on public-private cooperation.
