US SEC Chairman Atkins Promotes Regulatory Innovation for Crypto and Tokenization
Jinse Finance reported that Paul Atkins, Chairman of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), stated that cryptocurrency and tokenization are the SEC's "top priorities," and he hopes the SEC will become the "Securities and Innovation Commission." Since taking office in April this year, Atkins has emphasized the establishment of a regulatory framework to attract companies back to the United States, supported the development of distributed ledger technology, and plans to introduce "innovation exemptions" to accelerate the listing of on-chain products and services, while also promoting inter-agency regulatory coordination. However, due to the government shutdown, the SEC currently has only a very small number of staff handling urgent matters.
