Bitcoin life insurance company Among Us completes $82 million financing
On October 7, according to Bloomberg, Bitcoin life insurance company Among Us has completed an $82 million financing round, with participation from Apollo, Northwestern Mutual, Pantera Capital, Stillmark, Bain Capital, and Haun Ventures. The company will use these funds to expand its team’s capabilities to meet the growing institutional demand for Bitcoin insurance products. Among Us is a Bermuda-regulated insurance company that offers fully cryptocurrency-denominated products and began issuing policies in 2023. The company invests policyholders’ premiums by lending Bitcoin to large regulated financial institutions. Among Us completed a $40 million Series A round in April this year, led by OpenAI CEO Sam Altman.
