Former Fed Chair Bullard Expresses Willingness to Accept Fed Chair Position
According to ChainCatcher, former Federal Reserve Chair Bullard stated that he spoke with Treasury Secretary Bessent last week. He expressed that if the goal is to achieve low and stable inflation while respecting the independence of the Federal Reserve, he would be willing to accept the position of Fed Chair. Regarding the possibility of being selected as Fed Chair, Bullard said he is happy to cooperate with whatever approach Bessent wishes to take and will operate within the framework of the Federal Reserve Act. He emphasized that anyone appointed as Fed Chair would uphold the independence of the Federal Reserve.
