Trump will unveil the details of these new initiatives at an event in the suburbs of Pittsburgh. Investments from multiple companies will cover the construction of new data centers, expansion of power generation capacity, upgrades to grid infrastructure, as well as the launch of AI training programs and apprenticeship schemes. The event will be hosted by Republican Senator McCormick. Industry leaders from the AI and energy sectors, including up to 60 corporate executives, are expected to attend.
A spokesperson for McCormick stated that Blackstone President Gray will announce a $25 billion data center and energy infrastructure construction plan at the event, which is expected to create about 6,000 construction jobs and 3,000 long-term positions annually.
