Meta tests proactive AI chatbot features
2025/07/04 03:43According to a report by Jinse Finance citing TechCrunch, Meta is testing a new type of AI chatbot on its Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger platforms. This feature allows the AI to proactively send follow-up messages to users within 14 days after the initial conversation. The feature is only available to users who have sent at least five messages to the bot. Users can choose to keep these interactions private or share them via their profile, stories, or direct links. These customizable chatbots, developed through Meta’s AI Studio platform, are designed to sustain discussions on topics users are interested in. The company expects its generative AI products to generate $2–3 billion in revenue by 2025, with projections reaching $1.4 trillion by 2035.
