According to on-chain analyst Ember's monitoring, a certain whale turned 35,754 ETH into 19,302 ETH due to a low sell-high buy strategy, resulting in a loss of $42.64 million.
On April 23, he sold 50,754 ETH at a price of $1,754, converting it into 89.03 million USDT, of which 15,000 ETH was short-sold.
Then, 27 days later, he used the 89.03 million USDT to buy back 34,343 ETH at a price of $2,592 today.
In terms of ETH quantity, he lost 16,452 ETH: the original 35,754 ETH became 19,302 ETH.
In terms of value, he lost $42.64 million: the 19,302 ETH he now holds is worth $50.04 million, while the 35,754 ETH is currently worth $92.69 million.
