On May 13, Telegram conducted a large-scale ban on accounts related to crypto crimes, leading to the dark web market Haowang Guarantee, formerly known as Huione Guarantee, announcing the cessation of operations effective immediately. The platform previously offered services such as cryptocurrency laundering, scam tools, and deepfake software through Telegram, with a total transaction volume reaching $27 billion, primarily using Tether (USDT) for transactions.
