Federal Reserve's Goolsbee stated on Wednesday that the data showing moderate consumer inflation in April does not necessarily reflect the impact of rising U.S. import tariffs, and the Fed still needs more data to understand the direction of prices and the economy. Goolsbee said, "Sometimes there's a lot of dust in the air, and we hear a lot of noise... we're trying to find that main thread."
