Bridgewater Founder Ray Dalio: Trump's trade war has brought the United States "close to the edge of recession"
The billionaire founder of one of the world's largest hedge funds, Ray Dalio, said on Sunday that the trade war initiated by US President Trump has brought the United States close to recession. "I think we are currently at a critical decision point and very close to recession," Dalio said. He described this situation as "highly destructive" and likened the impact of tariffs to "throwing stones into the production system". He also expressed concern about the combined effects that U.S. debt, U.S. budget deficits, and global political tensions could potentially have.
