Analyst: The inflation data from France and Spain is not expected to change the European Central Bank's bet on interest rate cuts
Analyst Justin Low commented that looking ahead, Europe will release a considerable amount of data today, but the main focus will be on inflation data from France and Spain. The former has become a comfort point for the European Central Bank, while the latter is slowly seeing core inflation approaching its 2% target. Unless there are any major surprises, these figures may not be very persuasive and cannot change the European Central Bank's bet on lowering interest rates in April. At present, traders estimate an approximately 80% chance of a 25 basis point rate cut next month.
