UK judge rejects $770 million Bitcoin landfill hard drive case
According to Cointelegraph, IT engineer James Howells from Newport, Wales lost his lawsuit to recover a hard drive containing Bitcoins worth over $770 million.
This hard drive, which was mined in 2009 with Bitcoins valued at more than $770 million, was mistakenly discarded in a landfill. Due to environmental permit reasons, Howells is currently prohibited from entering the landfill.
As reported by the BBC on January 9th, Keyser stated that it would be "impossible" for this legal case to win in a full trial.
