U.S. initial jobless claims for the week to 14 December 220,000, fell more than expected
On 19 December, it was reported that US initial jobless claims fell more than expected last week, in line with the gradual cooling of job market conditions. The U.S. Department of Labour announced on Thursday that first-time initial jobless claims fell by 22,000 to a seasonally adjusted 220,000 (230,000 in a Reuters poll) in the week to December 14th.
