The three major U.S. stock indices closed collectively lower, with the Nasdaq down 0.64 per cent, the S&P 500 down 0.61 per cent and the Dow down 0.47 per cent. Tesla fell more than 5 per cent, with its total market capitalisation back below $1 trillion.
