Shanghai Digital RMB Pilot Application Work Deployment Meeting Held

citing Shanghai Financial Officials, in order to implement the overall requirements of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China regarding "prudently promoting the research and application of digital RMB", Shanghai has formulated a new round of action plan for the pilot application of digital RMB, and held a work deployment meeting on November 4th. The action plan explicitly states that it is necessary to further prudently promote the innovation of digital RMB application and services, and strive to form a digital RMB ecological system with a broad coverage of scenes, good payment service experience, rich innovative applications, and active participation of all parties by the end of 2025.
