Group of U.S. Attorneys Urges Biden to Help Secure Release of Coinsecurity Executive Arrested in Nigeria
On October 19, Cointelegraph reported that a group of 18 state attorneys general urged President Biden to help secure the release of Tigran Gambaryan, a CoinSec executive who has been detained in Nigeria since February 2024.According to the report, U.S. Attorney General John Formella Formella (D-NY) wrote in a joint letter published on October 18, “Tigran Gambaryan's continued detention without cause not only violates his rights, but also poses a serious risk to his health and well-being ...... We have a responsibility to defend foreign of U.S. citizens, and we urge the federal government to apply the necessary diplomatic pressure to secure his release.
