Spot gold closed up 1.84 per cent at $2,558.07 an ounce, setting a new all-time closing high. Spot silver was up 4.19 per cent at $29.8792 an ounce.COMEX gold futures were up 1.78 per cent at $2,587.6 an ounce, setting a new all-time closing high.COMEX silver futures were up 4.48 per cent at $30.225 an ounce.
