The Fed is expected to make its first rate cut in September. Despite differences between US Vice President Harris and former US President Trump on economic goals, it is believed that the basic fiscal position of the United States will remain largely unchanged. The continued rise in the US public debt burden will increase vulnerability to economic and confidence shocks.
