U.S. stocks open, Nvidia stock price hits new high
U.S. stocks opened, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average opening nearly flat, the S&P 500 Index rising 0.63%, and the Nasdaq Composite Index rising 1.14%. NVIDIA (NVDA.O) soared by more than 7%, with its stock price breaking through the $1,000 mark, setting another record high. The company's Q1 net profit surged 628%, exceeding expectations, and it announced a "10-for-1 split". AI chip stocks generally rose, with AMD (AMD.O) rising nearly 3%, Broadcom (AVGO.O) and TSMC (TSM.N) rising more than 2%.
