EigenLayer plans to open token claims on May 10 with a total supply of 1.67 billion tokens
Repledging agreement EigenLayer plans to open token claims on May 10th. The Eigen Foundation, a newly formed independent non-profit organization, will be the entity issuing the tokens, with a total supply of 16.7 Eigen tokens at the time of issuance The foundation has allocated 45 percent of the tokens to its community, which is further broken down into equity participation (15 percent), community initiatives (15 percent) and ecosystem development (15 percent). In addition, 29.5% of the tokens will be given to investors, while early contributors will receive 25.5%, with a total lock-in period of three years for the distribution to investors and early contributors reported. The first year involves complete and the total position is gradually released at a rate of 4 % per month over the two years of the lockup.
