Fed FOMC statement: no rate cuts until more confident inflation is near 2%
On 1 February, according to the Fed's FOMC Life, Fed officials believe that target risks are "coming into better balance" and will not cut rates until they are more confident that inflation is close to 2%. The Fed will consider "any adjustment" to interest rates reiterating that inflation has eased over the past year but remains high.
