Important update on user signups in France and Germany

This announcement applies to residents of France and the French Overseas Territories (collectively, "France"), as well as residents of Germany (collectively, the "In-Scope Users"). It does not apply to Bitget users in any other countries.
Bitget is committed to establishing fully compliant EU operations in accordance with all applicable laws and regulatory requirements. As part of our ongoing compliance efforts following the implementation of the Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation ("MiCA"), we would like to inform you of the following important updates regarding our service availability in France and Germany.
Key updates
Effective January 16, 2026 (UTC+1), In-Scope Users will no longer be eligible to sign up for a new account with Bitget.
For users who signed up before January 16, 2026:

1. French users:

As part of our commitment to complying with French regulatory requirements, and following discussions with the Autorité des marchés financiers ("AMF"), we regret to inform you that Bitget will discontinue all services for residents of France (hereinafter referred to as "French Users"), effective March 31, 2026 (UTC+2). This service suspension will apply to all French users, regardless of their account signup date, and will cover all Bitget products and features, including but not limited to Quick Buy, P2P, all spot products, all derivatives products, copy trading, and all Earn products.
The service suspension will be implemented in phases to ensure an orderly transition. For details, please refer to the separate announcement here.

2. German users:

At present, there are no plans to suspend services for residents of Germany who signed up for a Bitget account before January 16, 2026 (hereinafter referred to as "German Users"). All existing functionalities on the Bitget platform (bitget.com) will remain available to German users. Bitget is having ongoing discussions with the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority ("BaFin"),and we currently do not envisage any changes to service availability in Germany.
General notes
If you are not a French User or a German User, please ensure that your identity verification information is accurate and up to date. To update your identity verification details, please submit the required documents via Customer Support.
