The 50 million USDT phishing attacker is unlikely to return the funds, which have already been converted to ETH and laundered through Tornado.
According to Deep Tide TechFlow, on December 21, on-chain analyst Yu Jin monitored that the whale/institution that lost 50 million USDT to phishing sent a message to the phisher on-chain, stating that they are willing to offer a $1 million white hat bounty if the stolen 50 million USDT can be returned. As of now, the phisher has not responded, but it is highly unlikely that the funds will be returned, as the money has already been converted to ETH and laundered through Tornado.
