World’s First USDC Payment Infrastructure for Autonomous Agents Unveiled by OpenMind and Circle
OpenMind and Circle have announced a strategic collaboration to deliver what they describe as the world’s first payment infrastructure for autonomous agents and embodied AI. The integration pairs USDC with OpenMind’s x402 protocol module, enabling direct, on-chain payments for energy, services, and data within the physical world.
A recent official release on the X platform showcased a demo where robots complete self-charging without battery swaps and perform end-to-end transactions in USDC. The demonstration highlights real-world interoperability between digital currency rails and autonomous operation.
The initiative will begin with a pilot in Silicon Valley, aiming to deliver a universal, convenient on-chain payment solution for embodied intelligence. The goal is longer endurance, automated operation, and gradual integration of intelligent agents into daily life.
